Engineering Integration Branch

To consistently provide lifecycle systems engineering, statistical engineering and Lifecycle Logistics through integrated application of complex methods, processes, tools, concepts, and industry best practices to meet Agency goals and objectives. SEEMB serves as the Center’s focal point for systems engineering, lifecycle logistics, and statistical engineering of complex systems; integrates the application of systems engineering, logistics and statistical engineering concepts, methods and tools; and manifests a philosophy of learning and action based on statistical and systems thinking.

Branch Discipline Areas

  • Systems Engineering – Engineering discipline that brings integrated, systems-level thinking and diverse frameworks to achieve the stakeholders objectives.
  • Statistical Engineering – Integrates engineering disciplines and statistical sciences to solve technical challenges with a quantified level of confidence.  The objective is to engineer statistical methods to generate better approaches that benefit organizations through holistic, Design-of-Experiments view of the entire system as well as a value-added understanding of uncertainty and ambiguity to achieve objectives.
  • Lifecycle Logistics Management – Leads, develops, and performs transportation and delivery management functions of all aspects of project lifecycle logistics that involves analyzing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the actions required for projects/programs in support of aerospace flight and ground operations.
  • Complex Systems – Agency ST for Complex Systems resides logistically in the SEEMB. The goal is to work towards a synergistic relationship with the other discipline teams to facilitate an understanding of engineering complex systems.
